General Information

What time is check-in?

3PM PST.

What time is check-out?

11 AM – But… moving slow? Dying to hit snooze for the 10th time? We will do our best to accommodate a late checkout, but no promises, k?

Am I able to check in early?

Check-in is at 3 PM, however, if you arrive early and your cottage is ready and available we will happily check you in. If your room is not available, we can store your luggage until it is. Feel free to take in the pool scene or explore the Ranch while you wait.

What is your cancellation/refund policy?

We understand that life and plans can change unexpectedly, and we want to help where we can. As we only have 15 cottages, all room reservations and payments are final. However, if you contact us at least 72 hours before your check-in date, we will do our best to accommodate a reschedule of your reservation, though we cannot guarantee it. Please note that an additional charge may apply for rescheduling your reservation.

How far are you from San Diego International Airport (SAN)?

We are 27 miles from SAN.

Is there a minimum age to reserve a hotel room?

Yes, 21.

What time does the front office and Eighteen Seventy Store close?

The store is open from 9 AM – 10 PM daily. Don’t want to leave your room or forgot to buy something during your stay? Visit our website www.eighteenseventy.co – we ship orders daily or can deliver to your room if you are on the property.

Is there Wi-Fi available?

We offer complimentary Wi-Fi, but as we are located at the bottom of a canyon, sometimes service can be spotty. If you plan to work from the Ranch and urgently require a stable connection, we would suggest that you bring a portable hotspot – but who really wants to work on a vacay anyway?!

Accommodation and Amenities

Will I be charged for extra guests occupying my cottage?

There is no charge for additional guests up to the listed Maximum Occupancy of the cottage. Guests not included in the room reservation will have to purchase a day pass.

Can I bring outside alcohol to the Ranch?

Per our alcohol license, Please do not bring outside alcohol to the Ranch. We have a great selection of alcohol, including wine from local wineries available on the property. Enjoy a curated selection without the need to bring your own!

Do you have connecting rooms?

No, but renting the entire Ranch is possible if you like your friends enough.  Drop us an email – [email protected] 

Do you have baby cribs on-site?

We don’t have cribs, but we do have a handful of Pack N’ Plays.

Do you offer dry cleaning/laundry services?

No, we do not, unfortunately.

What is your smoking policy?

100% Non-Smoking, and no vaping, and, none of the green stuff—that still counts. The cleaning fee for smoking in the room is $500.

Pool and Recreational Facilities

If I am a guest, do I have access to the pool, cabanas, and lounge chairs?

Yes, all hotel guests have complimentary pool access. Cabanas can be reserved, and lounge chairs are available on a first-come, first-served basis.

What are the hours of the pool?

10AM – 10PM. Non-hotel guests can book pool passes from 10AM – 6PM.

What are the hours of the family games deck?

10AM – 10PM daily. Equipment is available on a first-come, first-served basis.

Do you have a lifeguard at the pool?

No, we do not. Please keep an eye on your friends and children at the pool.

Can I still enjoy the pool after checkout?

Sure, take a dip. Guests are welcome to enjoy the pool for up to one additional hour after checkout. If you wish to extend your stay beyond this time and if availability permits, a day pass can be purchased at the front desk.

Can my kids bring their bikes, scooters, and skateboards?

Yes! We totally encourage this. The inside of the property is closed to vehicular traffic, so your little ones can scoot their tiny hearts out.

Dining and Food

Do you serve breakfast/lunch/dinner?

We have a limited food menu including salads, sandwiches, Crudité, and Charcuterie platters, etc. We also have a store full of really nice snacks and drinks. You may place an order with the team at the Ranch. During check-in, we provide you with a breakfast basket that has cereal, granola, yogurt, bread, milk, and eggs. Each cottage has its own mini refrigerator, microwave, kettle, toaster, coffee machine, and egg maker. We also have BBQ grills around the property for guests to use. We provide basic grilling utensils only, and these can be picked up at the front desk.  Instacart, Target, and UberEats will deliver to the Ranch.

Pet policies

What is your pet policy?

Sometimes we all need support from our hirsute companions. But also, some people are turned off by, or even afraid of your pets. Please be respectful of all hotel guests, pets or not. Here’s our Pet Policy: $100 one-time, non-refundable fee, maximum of two (2) pets per reservation. Sorry, no cats. Additional fees may apply for deep cleaning or damages that occur.

  • Bandy Canyon complies with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and state/local laws regarding Service Animals.
  • Guests traveling with a Service Animal will not be charged a pet fee. 
  • Per the American with Disabilities Act (ADA), Emotional Support Animals (ESA) do not qualify as Service Animals as they have not been trained to perform a specific job or task.
  • Emotional Support Animals (ESA) will be charged the standard pet fee according the hotels policy. To learn more, please defer to the American with Disabilities Act (ADA) website.

Booking and Events

If I want to host an event, how do I get in contact with sales and events?

We’d love to make all your hopes and dreams come true. Please email us at [email protected] for event information.

Can I do a photoshoot or filming at your hotel?

You can email us at [email protected] so we can review your request. (Please do not simply show up with a camera & crew, or you will be asked politely to leave.)

Other Information

I want to check the property out before I make a reservation. Can I visit?

No, our gates are closed to the public, and we maintain a guest list to ensure the safety and privacy of our guests. For photos and information about the property and cottages, feel free to visit our website and Instagram (@bandy.canyon)—we post super pretty pictures.

Can I meet the rescues at Canyon Farm Animal Sanctuary?

Closed-toe shoes are required for your safety, as the animals often roam freely and squished toes are no fun for anyone. The tour costs $5 per person, with all proceeds going directly to the rescues.

Do you charge for incidentals?

The incidental fee is a temporary hold and is released back to you after checkout. Depending on your bank, it may take 3-9 business days for this release to process.

WHAT ARE THE QUIET HOURS AT THE RANCH?

Quiet hours are from 10:00 PM to 7:00 AM daily. During this time, we ask all guests to keep noise levels to a minimum. We are at the bottom of a canyon, so noise does tend to reverberate.
