Ranch Policies & Information

Guests renting cottages acknowledge that they have read, understood, and agree to be bound by the Terms and Conditions set forth below. These Terms & Conditions are incorporated by reference into this rental agreement and must be accepted as part of the booking process. Completion of a reservation through Lodgify, including affirmative acceptance via checkbox or equivalent action at checkout, constitutes binding agreement to these Terms prior to confirmation.

Rates are based on the standard occupancy for each cabin type. Occupancy limits include all guests, including children, and are strictly enforced. No additional guests are permitted beyond the stated maximum occupancy.

Check-in begins at 3:00 PM, and check-out is at 11:00 AM. If you need a little extra time, please contact the front desk in advance and we will do our best to accommodate your request.

As our housekeeping team needs access promptly at 11:00 AM to prepare cottages for the next arrival, unauthorized late check-outs will incur a $150.00 fee.

Rates do not include daily housekeeping service unless otherwise stated. Additional charges may apply for excessive cleaning required after check-out, including but not limited to stains, damage, or cleaning beyond normal turnover standards.

Reservations made through third-party booking platforms may be subject to additional fees, such as a one-time Resort Fee, policies, or conditions set by the booking provider, which are outside of Bandy Canyon’s control.

Applicable state and local taxes will be applied to the nightly rate and any additional mandatory charges, including cleaning fees where applicable.

Full payment for the cabin rate, including all applicable fees and taxes, is required at the time of booking. Reservations are not confirmed until payment is successfully completed.

All reservations are final and non-refundable.

Requests to reschedule must be made at least 72 hours prior to check-in. While reasonable efforts will be made to accommodate changes, rescheduling is not guaranteed and may incur additional charges.

 

Bandy Canyon requires a security deposit to cover damages, loss of property, or outstanding Guest Account charges. The deposit will be held and returned, less any deductions, within 30 calendar days after departure (typically the Friday following check-out).

Deductions may include repairs or replacement of damaged or missing items, unpaid charges, lost keys, excessive cleaning, or any costs required to restore the property to its check-in condition. An itemized statement will be provided for any deductions.

If costs exceed the deposit, the guest remains responsible for the balance and authorizes Bandy Canyon to charge the card on file.

 

 

Bandy Canyon prioritizes the safety and enjoyment of all guests. The following supervision guidelines must be followed:

  • Children under 12: Must be supervised at all times by a parent, guardian, or responsible adult (18+).
  • Children ages 12–16: May be unaccompanied but must have a parent or guardian on the property and reachable at all times.
  • Pool area: No lifeguard on duty. All guests under 18 must be supervised by an adult.
  • Creek and trails: Due to natural hazards and wildlife, guests under 16 must be accompanied by an adult.

Parents or guardians are responsible for the conduct and safety of their children at all times and must ensure they do not disturb other guests or wildlife.

Bandy Canyon is not liable for accidents or injuries resulting from inadequate supervision. Parents and guardians assume full responsibility for their children’s safety.

We are very pet friendly and are pleased to accommodate your furry friends!  To ensure a comfortable stay for all our guests, please review and adhere to the following pet policy:

A non-refundable pet fee of $100  per stay, will be charged. This fee covers additional cleaning costs.

A maximum of 2 pets per room is allowed. 

Pets must be supervised and on a leash or in a carrier while in public areas of the Ranch. 

Pets should not be left unattended in guest cottages. If left alone, they must be in a crate, and guests must provide a contact number.

Pets should not disturb other guests. Continuous barking or disruptive behavior may result in guests being asked to find alternative accommodations.

Guests are responsible for cleaning up after their pets. Waste disposal bags are provided at designated areas.

Pets are not allowed in the pool area, adobe, animal sanctuary, or other restricted areas.

Any damage caused by pets will be assessed and charged to the guest’s account.

Pets must be up-to-date on vaccinations. Proof of vaccinations may be required upon request.

The property must be returned in the same condition as at check-in, ordinary wear and tear excepted. The Owner or its agents may enter the property at reasonable times for maintenance, repairs, or housekeeping services.

Guests may only cook in designated areas and must report any fire, damage, or incident to the Front Desk immediately. Guests are responsible for the conduct of all members of their party and any invitees.

Subletting or assignment of this rental agreement is not permitted. All keys must be returned at check-out; failure to do so will result in a $25 replacement fee.

Guests must comply with all Bandy Canyon rules at all times.

Smoking is strictly prohibited. Parties, events, catering, fireworks, and outside music are not permitted unless expressly authorized in writing, and additional charges may apply. Outside alcohol is not permitted; all alcohol must be provided and served through Bandy Canyon in accordance with licensing requirements.

Guests are responsible for supervising all children and must not permit unsupervised use of the pool or Jacuzzi; gates must remain closed. Use of the pool, Jacuzzi, and all property amenities is at the guest’s own risk. Guests acknowledge inherent risks on the property, including drowning, slipping, falls, and equestrian-related risks.

We aim to resolve any concerns during your stay. Guests must notify our team immediately so we may address issues on-site. Requests for refunds, adjustments, or compensation will not be accepted after departure.

At Bandy Canyon, we strive to ensure accurate pricing and availability across all booking channels. However, occasional errors may occur due to system or human mistakes. This policy outlines our approach to handling pricing errors.

Errors & Obvious Mistakes
If a reservation is made at an obviously incorrect rate (for example, missing a digit or significantly lower than market value), Bandy Canyon reserves the right to cancel or correct the reservation, even if it has already been confirmed or prepaid.

Notification & Resolution
If an incorrect rate is identified, we will notify the guest as soon as possible. The guest may then choose to pay the correct rate or cancel the reservation at no penalty.

Guest Responsibility
If a guest notices a pricing error before booking and proceeds with the reservation, they acknowledge that Bandy Canyon has the right to adjust or cancel the booking.

Good Faith Adjustments
While we cannot honor pricing errors, we may, at our discretion, offer an alternative rate or special discount as a goodwill gesture.

This policy applies to all direct and third-party reservations. By booking with Bandy Canyon, guests agree to these terms.

Any personal belongings left behind that are reasonably determined to have value will be treated as abandoned property. Bandy Canyon will attempt to notify the guest via email or mail. If no response is received within 7  days, the property may be disposed of, donated, or sold at the discretion of Bandy Canyon.

 

If a guest remains in a cottage beyond the end of the Rental Agreement without prior written authorization, they will be considered a holdover occupant. In such cases, the guest may be charged up to twice the agreed rental rate on a prorated daily basis for each day of continued occupancy.

 

Bandy Canyon shall not be liable for any loss, damage, injury, expense, or claim of any kind, whether direct, indirect, or consequential, arising from the use of the property or services provided, including delays, substitutions, rescheduling, or changes to accommodations or services due to events beyond its control, including but not limited to acts of God, government actions, military activity, labor disputes, or other unforeseen circumstances.

While Bandy Canyon will make reasonable efforts to provide comparable substitute accommodations or services when necessary, it is not obligated to provide refunds for unused portions of a stay under any circumstances.

Guests acknowledge that use of the property and participation in related activities may involve inherent risks, including but not limited to swimming, hiking, jogging, uneven surfaces, stairs, slippery areas, electrical or plumbing systems, BBQ grills, glass doors, and other natural or structural hazards.

Guests voluntarily assume all risks of injury, illness, death, loss, or damage to person or property arising from their stay, including theft or loss of personal belongings.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, guests agree to release, indemnify, and hold harmless Bandy Canyon, its owners, employees, officers, and agents from any claims or liability arising from their use of the property, except in cases of gross negligence or willful misconduct.

Bandy Canyon reserves the right to terminate or cancel any reservation without refund if guests engage in unlawful activity, violate property rules, provide false or misleading information regarding group size or use of the property, or cause disturbance through excessive noise, music, or disruptive behavior

 

Guests are solely responsible for their personal property. Bandy Canyon’s insurance does not cover guest belongings or damage caused by guests, and Bandy Canyon shall not be liable for any loss, theft, or damage during the stay.

 

Bandy Canyon shall not be liable for any interruption, cancellation, or impairment of a stay caused by events beyond its control, including but not limited to natural disasters (such as fire, wildfire, flood, earthquake, or severe weather), government actions, utility outages, or other unforeseen circumstances.

No refunds, credits, or rebates will be provided for cancellations, delays, or early departures resulting from such events, including mandatory or voluntary evacuations.

Bandy Canyon is not responsible for securing alternative accommodations or for any related costs, including transportation or lodging expenses.

Bandy Canyon shall not be liable for temporary disruptions, malfunctions, or unavailability of utilities, appliances, or amenities.

Guests are strongly encouraged to obtain travel insurance to protect against unforeseen events.

To ensure a safe and compliant environment, the following alcohol policy applies:

No Outside Alcohol: Guests may not bring outside alcohol onto the property, including guest cottages, common areas, or event spaces.  Alcohol is available for purchase through Bandy Canyon and must be ordered through our team.

Alcohol purchased on-site may be consumed only in designated areas, including guest cottages, dining areas, bar spaces, and approved event locations.

Bandy Canyon reserves the right to refuse service to any guest who appears intoxicated or is acting in a manner that may compromise the safety or enjoyment of others.

Alcohol will not be served to anyone under the legal drinking age. Valid identification is required at the time of purchase.

Bandy Canyon shall make repairs as expeditiously as possible after being notified by Guest. Bandy Canyon staff and contracted repair professionals, shall have the right to enter said premises during reasonable hours to examine and make such repair(s) as may be deemed necessary for the safety or comfort of Guest. There will be no refund or rebates issued to Guest as a result of the repairs or time required to complete them.

Should Guest breach any of the terms of this Agreement Guest shall be liable for all costs, damages and expenses incurred including reasonable attorney’s fees. In the event that any actions or proceedings are initiated by either party with respect to this Vacation Cabin Rental Agreement, the parties agree that venue thereof shall be in the county within which the above described property is located within the State of California.
